Cashless Treatment for CGHS Cardholders at All AIIMS: See How to Avail the Benefits

In a significant move, Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) cardholders can now access cashless treatment at all All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) across the nation.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on December 5, 2023, has facilitated this provision for CGHS beneficiaries.

Nationwide Coverage for CGHS Cardholders

Beneficiaries of CGHS, including pensioners, can now enjoy the convenience of cashless treatment not only at AIIMS, New Delhi but also at AIIMS branches in Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh, Bilaspur, Rajkot, Kalyani, Bathinda, Bibinagar, Guwahati, Deoghar, and Mangalagiri.

Instructions for Eligible CGHS Cardholders at AIIMS, PGIMER, Chandigarh, and JIPMER, Puducherry:

  1. Eligibility Criteria: CGHS pensioners and other entitled beneficiaries, including former MPs, Governors, Judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts, and freedom fighters, possessing a valid CGHS card, are eligible for cashless treatment.
  2. Validity Verification: The validity of the CGHS card and ward eligibility is clearly mentioned on the card itself.
  3. Specialized Desk: AIIMS will establish a dedicated desk for CGHS beneficiaries. Eligible individuals can present their CGHS card for verification at this specialized desk.

  7. Extended Benefits: Apart from CGHS pensioners, other eligible individuals entitled to cashless treatment can also take advantage of this service.

This initiative aims to provide a hassle-free and streamlined experience for CGHS cardholders seeking medical treatment at AIIMS facilities nationwide.
