New Delhi :
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has unveiled a promising opportunity for policyholders whose LIC policies have lapsed.
In celebration of its 67th anniversary on August 31, 2023, LIC has initiated a unique campaign aimed at rejuvenating individual lapsed policies.
This initiative officially kicked off on September 1, 2023.
If you’ve experienced the lapse of your policy due to delayed premium payments, it’s not too late to restore its benefits.
Pay the Premium and Regain Coverage
Lapsed LIC policies can be revived by paying the overdue premiums along with any associated late fees. Once the premium for your LIC policy is settled, the health benefits and coverage linked to the policy will be reinstated.
Understanding Lapsed Policies:
A policy is considered lapsed when premium payments are not made within the specified grace period. In such cases, the insurance coverage is terminated.
To revive a lapsed policy, policyholders must clear all outstanding premium payments, including any interest charges, as specified by LIC’s terms and conditions.
It’s important to note that LIC retains the discretion to accept or reject the revival of a lapsed policy.
