Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition has been launched in India with an ex-showroom starting price of ₹36.51 lakh.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor introduced the 2026 special edition on October 9, offering buyers updated styling, a refreshed cabin and additional convenience features.

Bookings are scheduled to begin on October 12, 2026.

The new edition is available in two configurations: a 4×2 manual and a 4×2 automatic.

While the overall design retains the familiar Fortuner character, the latest version adds black exterior details and a dual-tone interior to distinguish it from the standard SUV.

Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition Price and Variants

Toyota has priced the 2026 Fortuner Leader Edition according to the transmission option selected.

Both variants feature a 4×2 drivetrain, with no four-wheel-drive version listed for this edition.

The manual variant costs ₹36.51 lakh ex-showroom, while the automatic variant is priced at ₹38.72 lakh.

The automatic version therefore costs ₹2.21 lakh more than the manual.

The variant-wise prices are as follows:

Fortuner Leader Edition 4×2 Manual: ₹36.51 lakh.

Fortuner Leader Edition 4×2 Automatic: ₹38.72 lakh.

These are ex-showroom prices and do not include additional costs such as registration, insurance and other applicable charges.

The final on-road price will vary depending on the location and dealership.

What Is New in the Fortuner Leader Edition?

The 2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition receives several exterior changes, mainly through black-finished styling elements.

These include a redesigned front grille, gloss-black alloy wheels with matching hub caps, a black roof treatment and a black-finished antenna.

The SUV also features black rear-door garnish, body-side mouldings and a distinctive bonnet emblem.

These changes give the special edition a different appearance while retaining the familiar Fortuner design.

Inside, Toyota has introduced black-and-maroon dual-tone seat upholstery and matching door trims.

Ambient lighting and illuminated scuff plates add to the cabin’s updated appearance.

The additions are primarily cosmetic, rather than a complete redesign.

Buyers considering the Leader Edition should compare the equipment list with the standard Fortuner variants to determine which features matter most to them.

 New Convenience and Safety-Related Features

The updated edition adds automatically folding outside rear-view mirrors and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

The folding mirrors offer added convenience when parking or manoeuvring in tight spaces, while TPMS helps drivers monitor tyre pressure.

The feature additions focus on everyday usability rather than a change to the SUV’s mechanical setup.

Toyota has not announced a new engine or transmission for the 2026 Leader Edition.

The SUV continues with the familiar 2.8-litre diesel engine.

In the automatic configuration, the engine produces up to 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque, while the manual version delivers 420 Nm of torque.

The Leader Edition is offered with rear-wheel-drive 4×2 configurations.

Buyers looking specifically for four-wheel drive should check the other Fortuner variants available in the market.

Booking Date, Colours and Ownership Benefits

Bookings for the Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition are scheduled to open on October 12, 2026.

Interested buyers can enquire through Toyota’s official website or an authorised dealership for booking procedures, availability and delivery timelines.

The SUV will be available in three exterior colours: Super White, Platinum White Pearl and Attitude Black.

The limited colour selection complements the edition’s black exterior details and revised cabin finish.

Toyota is also offering financing options with tenures of up to seven years, along with its Smart Balloon Finance scheme. Buyers will receive five years of complimentary roadside assistance.

The standard warranty covers three years or 1 lakh kilometres, whichever comes first.

An extended warranty option is available for up to five years or 2.20 lakh kilometres, subject to the applicable terms.

The Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is aimed at buyers who want the familiar Fortuner package with additional styling and convenience features.

Before booking, customers should compare the two variants, check the final on-road cost and confirm the availability of their preferred colour and transmission.
