Delhi Jal Board pensioners will now get access to a cashless medical facility, benefiting around 50,000 pensioners and family pensioners.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the facility on October 5.
The initiative will allow eligible beneficiaries to access medical treatment without making upfront payments and then seeking reimbursement, providing a simpler way to avail healthcare services.
Delhi Jal Board Pensioners Get Cashless Medical Facility
The facility has been launched for retired employees of the Delhi Jal Board and their eligible family pensioners.
The move is aimed at making medical treatment more convenient for beneficiaries.
The launch took place under the Delhi government’s Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Delhi Jal Board officials and other senior government representatives were present at the event.
How the Cashless Facility Will Help
Under the new arrangement, beneficiaries can receive treatment without first paying the medical expenses themselves and later applying for reimbursement.
This is expected to reduce financial and procedural difficulties while accessing healthcare.
The facility covers around 50,000 Delhi Jal Board pensioners and family pensioners.
The initiative is particularly relevant for retired employees and their families who require medical care.
What Rekha Gupta Said About the Facility
Speaking after the launch, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the facility would support retired Delhi Jal Board employees and their families, particularly when healthcare needs increase with age.
She said retired employees had earlier not had access to a cashless medical facility and described the new service as support for pensioners who had served the department.
The Delhi Jal Board pensioners covered by the initiative can now access the facility as part of the newly launched arrangement.
[[H2: Facility Launched Under Seva Sankalp Abhiyan
The cashless medical service was launched as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, under which various programmes are being organised to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.
The launch was attended by Delhi Water Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh, Delhi Jal Board Vice Chairman Satish Upadhyay and other officials.
The new facility is intended to make healthcare access easier for the large group of Delhi Jal Board pensioners and family pensioners covered by the initiative.
