Nayara Energy raises petrol price by ₹5 per litre and diesel by ₹3 per litre across its nationwide network from October 3, 2026.
The revised rates apply at the company’s fuel stations with immediate effect.
The private fuel retailer has increased prices as rising international crude oil and refined petroleum product costs put pressure on retail fuel margins.
Nayara Energy Raises Petrol Price by ₹5
The latest increase means petrol at Nayara Energy outlets is now ₹5 per litre costlier, while diesel has become ₹3 per litre more expensive.
The company operates more than 7,000 fuel stations across India.
The price revision comes after a period in which international oil prices increased, widening the gap between domestic retail prices and procurement costs for fuel retailers.
Why Nayara Energy increased fuel prices
Nayara had earlier raised petrol and diesel prices by the same amounts in March amid disruptions linked to tensions in West Asia.
The company later reversed that increase in July after international crude prices eased.
The latest hike is the second fuel price revision by Nayara Energy this year.
The company has again passed higher costs on to customers as global energy prices remain under pressure.
State-owned oil marketing companies have largely kept petrol and diesel retail prices unchanged despite fluctuations in international crude prices.
This means fuel prices at Nayara outlets can differ from those at public-sector fuel stations.
Petrol and diesel prices rise amid fuel market pressure
The latest increase comes shortly after the government said private fuel retailers should not restrict petrol and diesel sales at their outlets.
Private retailers had faced pressure because retail fuel prices remained below international-linked costs, while some buyers were purchasing fuel from retail outlets because of differences between retail and bulk prices.
The government has directed private fuel retailers to ensure that customers can purchase fuel without unilateral sales caps.
What the fuel price hike means for customers
For customers using Nayara Energy pumps, the immediate impact is a higher cost of petrol and diesel from October 3.
The exact retail price paid by consumers can vary across locations because fuel prices also include state-level taxes.
Nayara Energy raises petrol price by ₹5 per litre while diesel rises by ₹3, making the latest revision particularly relevant for motorists who regularly refuel at the company’s outlets.
The impact of the increase on other fuel retailers and on prices at state-owned outlets will depend on future movements in international crude oil and refined petroleum product prices.
