PF Claim Rejected cases can often be linked to mismatched or incorrect bank details in the EPFO records.

Before submitting a claim again, members should check their UAN profile and make sure the bank account details are accurate and properly linked.

PF Claim Rejected Due to Bank Details

A PF withdrawal is credited to the bank account linked with the member’s Universal Account Number (UAN).

If the account number, IFSC or name linked to the account does not match the EPFO records, the claim may face problems during processing.

The bank account should be active and held in the member’s own name.

EPFO’s guidance also states that the name in the bank account should be correct, as a mismatch can affect claim processing.

Check These Details Before Filing Again

Members should first check the bank account number and IFSC code recorded against their UAN.

They should also verify that the account is active and that the name on the bank account matches the relevant EPFO and identity records.

Aadhaar, PAN and other personal details should also be checked for discrepancies.

EPFO-related claims depend on the information available in the member’s records, so correcting an error before submitting a fresh claim can help avoid another rejection or delay.

The date of joining and date of leaving recorded in the EPFO account can also be important for claim processing. Members should review these details along with their KYC information before filing again.

How to Check Your EPFO Bank Account

Members can log in to the EPFO member portal and review the bank account and KYC information linked to their UAN.

If the bank details are incorrect, the member can update the account information through the available EPFO process.

EPFO has simplified bank-account seeding by removing the earlier employer-approval requirement after bank verification.

Members can authenticate a new bank account using Aadhaar-based OTP, subject to the applicable process.

If there is a mismatch in basic personal information, members may need to get the relevant details corrected before submitting the claim again.

EPFO also provides a grievance mechanism for members facing unresolved claim-related issues.

What to Check After PF Claim Rejection

A rejection should not automatically lead to another immediate claim submission.

The rejection reason should first be checked, followed by verification of the bank account, IFSC, UAN, Aadhaar, PAN and other relevant records.

Once the incorrect or mismatched information has been corrected, the member can proceed with a fresh claim according to the applicable EPFO requirements.

Keeping all linked details consistent can reduce avoidable problems during PF withdrawal processing.
