Indian Railways is continuously working to make train travel easier, more comfortable, and affordable for passengers.
In this direction, the Railway Board has approved seven new Amrit Bharat Express trains for different parts of the country.
These new trains will improve connectivity between cities and states in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat,
and South India. The Amrit Bharat Express trains are designed to provide comfortable long-distance travel at fares that are lower than premium trains.
7 New Amrit Bharat Express Trains Approved
The seven newly approved services are:
Dhanbad-Coimbatore
Charlapalli-Gorakhpur
Gorakhpur-Bandra
Gorakhpur-Delhi
Subedarganj-Lokmanya Tilak
Prayagraj-Udhna
Prayagraj-Lokmanya Tilak
1. Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express
The Dhanbad-Coimbatore Amrit Bharat Express (22363/22364) will provide direct long-distance connectivity between Jharkhand and South India.
The train will run from Dhanbad through Gomoh, Parasnath, Koderma, Gaya, Sasaram, Prayagraj, Katni, Jabalpur, Nagpur, Vijayawada, and Tirupati before reaching Coimbatore.
It will leave Dhanbad on Saturdays and return from Coimbatore on Tuesdays.
2. Charlapalli-Gorakhpur Amrit Bharat Express
The Charlapalli-Gorakhpur Amrit Bharat Express (22075/22076) will make travel between Telangana and Uttar Pradesh easier.
Important stations on its route include Kazipet, Peddapalli, Nagpur, Bhopal, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, and Gonda.
The train will depart from Charlapalli on Fridays and from Gorakhpur on Sundays.
3. Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express
The Gorakhpur-Bandra Amrit Bharat Express (15085/15086) will provide an important rail service between Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai.
The train will run from Gorakhpur to Bandra through Kanpur, Agra, Kota, Ratlam, Vadodara, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali.
It will depart from Gorakhpur on Fridays and from Bandra on Saturdays.
4. Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express
A new weekly Amrit Bharat Express will also connect Gorakhpur with Delhi.
The Gorakhpur-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express (15095/15096) will run through Basti, Gonda, Sitapur, Bareilly, Moradabad, and Ghaziabad.
This train will make travel to and from Delhi more convenient for passengers from eastern Uttar Pradesh.
5. Subedarganj-Lokmanya Tilak Amrit Bharat Express
The Subedarganj-Lokmanya Tilak Amrit Bharat Express (14121/14122) will benefit passengers traveling from the Prayagraj region to Mumbai.
The train will pass through Fatehpur, Kanpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Khandwa, Bhusaval, Nashik Road, Kalyan, and Thane.
This service will further improve rail connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and Mumbai.
6. Prayagraj-Udhna Amrit Bharat Express
The Prayagraj-Udhna Amrit Bharat Express (20437/20438) will provide another travel option for passengers.
It will run from Prayagraj to Udhna through Fatehpur, Kanpur, Etawah, Agra, the Bharatpur region, Kota, Ratlam, and Vadodara.
The route will benefit passengers in several cities across Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat.
7. Prayagraj-Lokmanya Tilak Amrit Bharat Express
The seventh new train will be the Prayagraj-Lokmanya Tilak Amrit Bharat Express (20436/20435).
This train will have relatively fewer stops. It will run from Prayagraj to Kalyan in Maharashtra through Satna, Jabalpur, Itarsi, and Bhusaval.
The train will depart from Prayagraj on Fridays and return from Lokmanya Tilak on Saturdays.
When Will These Trains Start Running?
The seven approved trains have not started operations yet. According to the Railways, the inauguration dates for these new Amrit Bharat Express trains will be announced soon.
Once operational, these trains are expected to improve long-distance connectivity across several states and give passengers a more affordable travel option compared with premium trains.
