Jio has introduced two new long-term OTT passes for customers who enjoy movies, web series, live sports and TV shows.
The new plans come with validity of 84 days and 365 days, giving users more options than the existing 28-day OTT pass.
The 84-day OTT Pass is priced at Rs 550, while the 365-day annual pass costs Rs 2,000. Jio already offers a 28-day OTT Pass for Rs 200.
What Do Jio OTT Passes Offer?
All three OTT passes come with high-speed data, unlimited 5G access, subscriptions to 15 premium OTT platforms and access to more than 1,000 live TV channels through JioTV.
The Rs 200 plan offers 30GB of high-speed data for 28 days. The Rs 550 plan provides 90GB for 84 days, while the Rs 2,000 annual plan comes with 365GB of high-speed data.
However, customers need to have an active base plan to use these OTT passes. Voice-only plans are not eligible for the offer.
Save Up to Rs 400 With Annual Pass
The longer-validity passes can also help customers save money. Buying the Rs 200 pass three times would cost Rs 600 for around 84 days. The new 84-day pass costs Rs 550, saving users Rs 50.
The annual plan offers even bigger savings. Instead of spending around Rs 2,400 on multiple shorter passes, customers can get the 365-day OTT Pass for Rs 2,000. This means a saving of Rs 400.
Get Access to 15 Popular OTT Platforms
Jio’s OTT passes include access to several popular streaming services, including YouTube Premium, JioHotstar Mobile + Hollywood and Amazon Prime.
The Rs 550 and Rs 2,000 passes include Amazon Prime Lite membership, while the Rs 200 pass offers Amazon Prime Video Mobile Edition.
Customers also get access to SonyLIV, ZEE5, Lionsgate Play, Discovery+, SunNXT, FanCode, Hoichoi, Chaupal, Planet Marathi, Kancha Lannaka, Timesplay and Tarang Plus.
Watch Over 1,000 Live TV Channels
Apart from OTT platforms, subscribers can watch more than 1,000 live television channels through JioTV. Popular options include Star Plus HD, Colors HD, SET HD, Sun TV HD, Discovery and Cartoon Network.
According to Jio, the package can provide entertainment benefits worth more than Rs 1,500 per month.
The new Rs 550 and Rs 2,000 OTT passes have been available since August 7 through the MyJio app, Jio’s website and authorized retail stores.
