The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fresh weather alert for June 15, warning of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds across 17 states.
According to the forecast, wind speeds may reach 70 to 80 kmph in several regions. Such strong winds could uproot trees, damage weak structures, and disrupt daily life.
People have been advised to stay alert and avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather conditions.
The weather department has also warned of possible hailstorms in some areas.
A low-pressure system has formed over central Uttar Pradesh, while a cyclonic circulation is extending from western Rajasthan towards the Gangetic plains and West Bengal, increasing the chances of widespread rainfall.
