The weather across India is changing again. While several states are currently facing intense heatwave conditions, relief is on the way for some regions in the form of rain and thunderstorms.

According to the India Meteorological Department, parts of eastern and northeastern India may see rain over the next 48 hours. At the same time, northwest and central regions will continue to experience extreme heat for the next few days.

Heatwave Alert and Rain Forecast Across India

States like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Delhi are currently dealing with severe heat. Temperatures are soaring, and heatwave conditions are expected to continue for the next 3 to 4 days in many plains.

However, there is some relief ahead. Rain, thunderstorms, and even hailstorms have been predicted in states like Bihar, Jharkhand,

and West Bengal between April 26 and 28. Strong winds with speeds of 50–60 km/h, and gusts up to 70 km/h, may also occur.

In the northeastern states such as Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh, widespread rainfall is expected throughout the week. Some areas may even receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
