Good news for travellers in Chhattisgarh.

Flying to Delhi is about to become much easier.

Direct flights from Bilasa Devi Kevat Airport in Bilaspur will begin from May 3, 2026.

This means passengers can now skip long layovers and reach Delhi in just 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Flight Schedule and Timing

The new flight will operate every Sunday.

It will arrive in Bilaspur at 6:20 PM and depart for Delhi at 6:45 PM.

Passengers can expect to land in Delhi by 9:25 PM, making it a convenient evening travel option.

This timing is especially helpful for those who want to travel after work or other daytime commitments.

Night Flights Now Possible

A key reason behind this new service is the airport’s recent upgrade.

Bilasa Devi Kevat Airport received a night landing license on February 6, 2026.

This allows flights to operate after sunset, opening up more flexible travel options for passengers.

Plans to Expand the Airport

The airport is also preparing for future growth.

Authorities have proposed expanding the runway to 1,800 meters in the next phase.

In the long run, the goal is to extend it up to 2,800 meters to handle larger aircraft.

However, this expansion may take two to three years due to technical and approval processes.

More Flights May Be Added

With rising passenger demand, there are plans to increase flight frequency.

The Air Facilities Committee has suggested adding Wednesday flights along with the existing Sunday schedule.

If approved, this will further improve connectivity between Bilaspur and Delhi.

What This Means for Travellers

This new direct flight is a big step forward for regional connectivity.

It will save time, reduce travel stress, and offer more convenience for business travellers, students, and families.

As connectivity improves, Bilaspur is likely to see more growth in travel and economic activity.
