Women waiting for the November and December installments of the Chief Minister’s Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana finally have a reason to smile.

Around 2.6 million women were earlier placed on a suspicious list and faced the risk of being removed from the ₹1,500 monthly scheme.

Now, fresh clarification from Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare has brought major relief to these beneficiaries.

Most Suspicious Applications Found Genuine

According to the minister, the department received 26.3 million applications under the scheme. After verification, 24.3 million applications were found valid.

The remaining 2.6 million applications were rechecked by the IT department.

The review confirmed that most of these applications are genuine.

This means the pending installments can soon be credited again.

However, these women must complete their eKYC immediately to continue receiving the benefit.

Dual Scheme Benefits Allowed, Ineligible Names Removed

The government also clarified that women who are getting benefits from both Ladki Bahin Yojana and Namo Shetkari Yojana will continue to receive payments.

To verify data, information was cross-checked with multiple departments, including School Education and Food and Civil Supplies.

During this process, 8,000 beneficiaries were found to be government employees but were still receiving scheme benefits.

Their names have been removed, and the money paid to them will be recovered.

No Problem If You Used a Family Member’s Bank Account

Many women had linked their father’s, brother’s, or husband’s bank account because they did not have one of their own.

The department has clarified that such names will not be removed from the scheme.

These beneficiaries have been advised to open their own bank accounts and complete the eKYC process as soon as possible.

Complete eKYC Before December 31

The deadline for eKYC was earlier November 18 but has now been extended to December 31.

Any mistakes in the eKYC details can also be corrected by this date.

If eKYC is not completed by December 31, the ₹1,500 installment will not be credited.

From January 1, 2026, the beneficiary’s name may be removed from the scheme.

How to Complete eKYC Easily

The eKYC process is simple and can be done online.

Visit the official portal and select the eKYC option. Enter your Aadhaar number and captcha, then request an OTP.

After entering the OTP received on your registered mobile number, complete the process using biometric verification.

Completing eKYC on time is the key to ensuring uninterrupted benefits under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.

For millions of women, this step can secure continued financial support without any hassle.
