India is close to getting high-speed satellite internet, thanks to Starlink moving rapidly toward its long-awaited launch.

The company, owned by Elon Musk, has already revealed its residential plans at a lower price and is focusing on connecting remote and underserved regions that struggle with traditional broadband.

Starlink is also strengthening its presence in India by hiring key staff and building infrastructure across multiple cities.

Starlink’s Monthly Plan and What You Get

Starlink has priced its home internet plan in India at Rs 8,600 per month, along with a one-time hardware cost of Rs 34,000.

Users also get a 30-day free trial, allowing them to test the service before committing.

The plan includes unlimited data, so there are no usage caps.

According to Starlink, the service works in almost any weather and promises over 99.9% uptime.

The company highlights easy installation—users just plug in the device and get online within minutes.

Business Plans Coming Soon

While Starlink has announced its residential prices, it has not yet revealed the cost of its business internet plans in India.

These packages are expected to be launched soon and will likely target companies, industries, and offices that need stable, high-speed internet in tough environments.

Starlink Expands Hiring in India

Starlink has started building its team in India and has posted several job openings at its Bengaluru office.

Most roles are related to finance, payments, and tax management.

This clearly shows that the company is setting up its operational framework before the commercial launch.

Ground Stations Being Set Up Across Major Cities

Reports suggest that Starlink plans to set up gateway earth stations in multiple cities, including:

Chandigarh

Hyderabad

Kolkata

Lucknow

Mumbai

Noida

These stations will act as the communication bridge between users on the ground and Starlink satellites in space.
