BSNL has once again disappointed its customers by reducing the validity of its budget-friendly ₹107 recharge plan. This is the second time the validity of this plan has been cut.
Earlier, the plan offered 35 days of validity, which was reduced to 28 days. Now, it has been cut further to just 22 days.
However, it’s important to note that the benefits of the plan remain unchanged.
BSNL seems to be making similar changes to its other low-cost plans as well. Recently, the validity of the ₹197 plan was reduced from 54 days to 42 days.
Updated Validity and Daily Cost of the ₹107 Plan
BSNL’s Quick Recharge webpage now shows that the ₹107 prepaid plan is valid for only 22 days. With this change, the daily cost of the plan has increased to ₹4.86.
According to the Bajaj Finserv website, the plan initially offered:
35 days validity — daily cost around ₹3
Later reduced to 28 days — daily cost ₹3.82
Now reduced to 22 days — daily cost ₹4.86

Benefits Remain the Same Despite Validity Cut
Even though the validity has been reduced, the plan’s benefits remain unchanged. The ₹107 recharge still offers:
Unlimited data (3GB high-speed, then speed reduces to 40 kbps)
200 minutes of free voice calling (local, STD, and roaming on all networks, including MTNL)
After free minutes are used:
Local voice calls: ₹1/min
Video calls: ₹1.3/min
STD voice calls: ₹2/min
SMS charges:
Local SMS: 80 paise
National SMS: ₹1.20
International SMS: ₹6/SMS
BSNL’s Trend of Reducing Validity
BSNL has repeatedly reduced the validity of its low-cost plans, pushing customers toward more expensive options.
Earlier in July, the validity of the ₹197 plan was cut from 70 days to 54 days, and now it has been further reduced to 42 days.
This plan includes 300 minutes of voice calling, up to 4GB of high-speed data, and 100 free SMS.
