LPG Price Cut announced from November 1 (Check New Rates Here)

Starting November 1, the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders have been slightly reduced across major Indian cities.

The cut ranges between Rs 4.50 and Rs 6.50, offering some relief to hotels, restaurants, and businesses that rely on these cylinders.

Meanwhile, prices for the domestic 14.2 kg LPG cylinders remain unchanged, keeping household budgets steady for another month.

The revision was announced by state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) and comes after a minor price hike in October.

City-Wise LPG Price Reduction

Here’s how the new commercial LPG rates look across key cities:

Delhi: Down by Rs 5 to Rs 1,590.50 (from Rs 1,595.50)

Kolkata: Reduced by Rs 6.50 to Rs 1,694 (from Rs 1,700.50)

Mumbai: Down by Rs 5 to Rs 1,542 (from Rs 1,547)

Chennai: Cut by Rs 4.50 to Rs 1,750 (from Rs 1,754.50)

The largest price drop was seen in Kolkata, giving local businesses a small but welcome reduction in fuel costs.

However, domestic LPG prices remain steady this month.

Households will continue paying Rs 853 in Delhi, Rs 879 in Kolkata, Rs 852.50 in Mumbai, and Rs 868.50 in Chennai.

Oil companies appear to be maintaining stability for consumers despite fluctuations in global crude oil prices.

No Change for Households, Small Relief for Businesses

This minor rate cut follows October’s increase when commercial LPG prices rose by around Rs 15–16 across cities.

While the latest revision doesn’t drastically lower costs, it does offer slight relief to commercial consumers amid unpredictable international fuel markets.

For new users, getting a domestic LPG connection remains simple.

Interested customers can visit authorized distributors of Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, or Hindustan Petroleum with valid ID and address proof such as Aadhaar, voter ID, or passport.

An ISI-marked stove and Suraksha LPG hose are required before installation.

The Bottom Line

While household LPG prices stay unchanged, the small drop in commercial cylinder rates will bring minor savings for restaurants, caterers, and businesses.

With global oil prices fluctuating, these periodic revisions reflect the government’s effort to balance affordability with market stability.
