Nepal’s Immigration Department has announced that foreigners whose visas expired after September 8 can leave the country without paying any fee.
According to a circular, foreign nationals whose visas were valid up to September 8 and who plan to leave during the curfew period will be given visa regularization
and exit permission free of cost. This facility will be available at immigration offices at the respective departure points.
Support for Those Who Lost Passports
The department also said that arrangements have been made for foreign nationals who lost their passports during the unrest.
If they have obtained travel documents or emergency passports from their embassies, they will be allowed to transfer their visas accordingly.
