Many areas across the country are experiencing cloudy weather and continuous heavy rainfall.
In the last 24 hours, several states have received significant rain, with rainfall between 7 to 20 cm recorded in parts of Karnataka, West Bengal, Eastern Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, and Bihar.

Weather Forecast for Today (26 July 2025)
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low-pressure area has formed over the northwestern Bay of Bengal, including coastal West Bengal and nearby Bangladesh.
Due to this, a heavy rain warning has been issued for Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, and Odisha.
Rain is also expected today in several parts of Maharashtra, including Chhattisgarh, Konkan, and Vidarbha.
Western Madhya Pradesh is likely to receive heavy rain on 26–27 July 2025.
Eastern Rajasthan may receive heavy showers on 27 July 2025.
The monsoon is expected to stay active for the next 4–5 days.
Rain Expected in These States in the Next 24 Hours
The IMD has predicted heavy rain in the next 24 hours in:
Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh
Goa, coastal Karnataka, Konkan, South Gujarat, and Kerala
Alerts have also been issued for heavy rain in:
Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Central Maharashtra
Additionally, light rainfall is expected in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Rajasthan.
Rain Alert in Northeast India
The northeastern states are expected to receive heavy rainfall for the next 4 days. The IMD has predicted heavy rain in:
Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Tripura, and Mizoram on Saturday, 26 July 2025, and continuing into 27 July.
An alert has been issued for the entire Northeast region due to the expected heavy rainfall.
