Kotak Mahindra Bank: Kotak Mahindra Bank and IndiGo Airlines have jointly launched new co-branded credit cards. These cards are part of IndiGo’s new loyalty program called BluChip.
The main goal is to attract customers who want travel rewards and those who wish to earn travel points on everyday spending.
Kotak Mahindra Bank Launches Two Cards
Under this offer, two types of credit cards have been introduced. The cards are named IndiGo Kotak Credit Card and IndiGo Kotak Premium Credit Card.
With these cards, customers can earn BluChips, which can be redeemed for booking IndiGo flights—both domestic and international.
With the standard card, customers can earn over 30,000 BluChips in a year by spending ₹6 lakh, which includes bonuses and milestone rewards.
On the other hand, the premium card can earn over 70,000 BluChips on spending ₹12 lakh annually.
Cardholders earn reward points faster when booking flights through IndiGo’s website or app. With the premium card, customers can get up to 21 BluChips for every ₹100 spent, while the standard card offers up to 19 BluChips.
Apart from flight bookings, rewards are also available for dining, entertainment, and milestone spending. Both cards provide 2,500 to 4,000 BluChips as an anniversary benefit as well.
Kotak Mahindra Bank MD and CEO Ashok Vaswani said this partnership will enhance the banking experience for customers.
IndiGo CEO Peter Elbers expressed hope that with the BluChip program, more passengers will prefer IndiGo for both domestic and international travel.
These credit cards can be applied for through Kotak Mahindra Bank’s website and mobile app.
Once the card is activated, customers can check their BluChip balance and use it directly to book flights.
