Vodafone Idea (Vi) has introduced a new prepaid recharge plan priced at Rs 340. This plan, valid for 28 days, offers daily data, unlimited voice calls, SMS, and additional benefits, setting it apart from regular plans.
Vi also recently expanded its Wi-Fi calling service to Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, after launching it earlier in places like Delhi, Mumbai, Gujarat, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and UP.
Details of the Rs 340 plan:
With the Vi Rs 340 plan, users get 1GB of high-speed data per day, 100 SMS daily, and unlimited voice calling for 28 days.
After using up the 1GB data, the speed drops to 64Kbps. Once the daily SMS limit is exceeded, users will be charged Rs 1 for local messages and Rs 1.5 for STD messages.
Additional features:
Users get unlimited internet from 12 pm to 6 am, with no data reduction.
Unused data from weekdays will roll over to the weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
If the daily data limit is exhausted, users can claim backup data at no extra cost.
An additional 1GB of data is provided, which users can use as needed.
Wi-Fi Calling and 5G Updates:
Vi’s Wi-Fi calling service is now available in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. This service is available for both prepaid and postpaid users, without needing a special plan.
Users just need to turn on the Wi-Fi Calling option in their phone settings. Calls will be charged the same as on a mobile network, with no extra fees.
Additionally, Vi launched its 5G service in Mumbai last month and plans to expand it to 11 cities with cricket stadiums hosting IPL T20 matches from March to May, ensuring fast internet connectivity for users.
