The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for thunderstorms, rain, and hailstorms in 12 states, including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh.
Strong winds of 40-50 km/h are expected to blow in these areas.
Rainfall is also predicted in states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, and several parts of South India.

1. Rajasthan:
Thunderstorms and light rain were recorded in districts of Kota, Bharatpur, and Jaipur. Further storms and rain are expected in these areas.
2. Madhya Pradesh:
There is a high likelihood of hailstorms in Khargone, Khandwa, Harda, and Betul. Thunderstorms and light rain are anticipated in the Gwalior and Jabalpur divisions, with Bhopal and Indore experiencing cloudy skies.
3. Uttar Pradesh:
An alert for rain and thunderstorms has been issued for 26 districts, including Lucknow. Wind speeds could reach up to 30-40 km/h, and a temperature drop of 3°C is expected in the coming days.
4. Chhattisgarh:
An orange alert has been issued for 9 districts, including Surguja, Balrampur, and Raipur. Rain and hailstorms are expected to affect these areas.
5. Punjab:
The temperature is rising, with Bathinda recording 35°C. The heat is likely to intensify in the coming days.
6. Haryana:
Bhiwani recorded the highest temperature at 37.2°C, which is 1.9°C above normal. The heat is expected to continue rising.
7. Himachal Pradesh:
Snowfall and rain are expected in the Chamba, Kangra, Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, and Kullu districts.
