Apple TV App Now Available for Android users

Starting today, Android users can download the Apple TV app from the Google Play Store.

Previously, streaming Apple TV+ content on Android was inconvenient, requiring users to access it via a web browser or Prime Video.

With the new app, users can now enjoy a seamless streaming experience without any hassle.

Apple’s Long-Awaited Move

Apple had hinted at launching this app as early as May last year. The company has already made a few of its services available to Android users, including Apple Music, Apple Music Classical, and Tracker Detect. Now, Apple TV+ joins the list.

Free Trial and Subscription Details

There is no change in the pricing for the new app. In India, it is available for a monthly subscription of ₹99, and new users can enjoy a one-week free trial.

The subscription comes ad-free and offers features like offline downloads, a watchlist,

and the “continue watching” option. However, Android users will have to wait a little longer for Google Cast support.

Background and Subscription Details

Apple hinted at an Android version of its app in May last year, and now it has finally arrived. Other Apple apps like Apple Music, Apple Music Classic,

and Tracker Detect are already available on Android. In India, the service costs Rs 99 per month, with new users enjoying a one-week free trial.

The subscription is ad-free and offers features such as offline downloads, a watchlist, and a ‘continue watching’ option. Note that Google Cast support for Android will be available soon.
