Ola Electric has introduced its Gen 3 electric scooter range, which includes models like the S1 X, S1 X+, S1 Pro, and S1 Pro Plus.
Along with the scooters, the company has also unveiled MoveOS 5, a new operating system set to launch in mid-February.
This update will bring a variety of advanced features, making the scooters smarter and more tech-savvy.
Users will be able to update their scooters via Over the Air (OTA), allowing them to access these new features easily.
Key Features of MoveOS 5
DIY Mode: Users can personalize their scooter by adjusting the power and top speed to their preference. It also offers control over advanced settings like region and throttle sensitivity.
Smart Park: This feature allows the scooter to automatically move forward and backward when parked in reverse, and then return to normal mode once parked.
Smartwatch App: The scooter can be locked and unlocked through a compatible smartwatch, enabling users to open the boot space remotely. The list of supported watches has not been revealed yet.
Road Trip Mode: Ideal for group riders, this feature lets users plan a trip and form groups with other Ola riders. A map will be available to help plan the journey.
Bharat Mode: A new theme featuring a blue color with dancing peacock feathers will be added to the scooter.
SOS Alert: In case of an accident, users can send an emergency alert to three saved contacts within 5 seconds. There will also be options to indicate if help is needed or if the user is safe.
Ola has also confirmed that several other great features will be available through MoveOS 5.
Gen 3 S1 Scooter Models
S1 X (Gen 3) Details: This scooter is available in 2 kW, 3 kW, and 4 kW battery packs, with a peak motor power of 7 kW.
The top speed is 123 km/h, and it offers an IDC range of 242 km. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3 seconds.
Prices for the 2 kW, 3 kW, and 4 kW battery packs are Rs 79,999, Rs 89,999, and Rs 99,999, respectively.
S1 X+ (Gen 3) Details: The S1 X+ comes with a single 4 kW battery pack and an 11 kW peak motor power. It can reach a top speed of 125 km/h and offers an IDC range of 242 km.
The scooter can go from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.7 seconds. The price for the 4 kW battery pack is Rs 1,07,999.
S1 Pro (Gen 3) Details: Available in both 3 kW and 4 kW battery packs, the S1 Pro has an 11 kW peak motor power and a top speed of 125 km/h.
The IDC range is 242 km, with acceleration from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.7 seconds.
The ex-showroom price for the 3 kW and 4 kW versions is Rs 1,14,999 and Rs 1,34,999, respectively.
S1 Pro Plus (Gen 3) Details: This model comes with 4 kW and 5.3 kW battery packs and a 13 kW peak motor power.
The top speed is 141 km/h, and the IDC range is an impressive 320 km. It accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.1 seconds.
The prices for the 4 kW and 5.3 kW versions are Rs 1,54,999 and Rs 1,69,999, respectively.
With these updates and new models, Ola Electric is continuing to push the boundaries of electric scooter technology, making them smarter and more adaptable for every type of rider.
