Honda India Increases Prices of City and Elevate Models

Honda Cars India has been gradually raising the prices of its vehicles. Earlier this month, the company increased the price of its Elevate SUV by ₹20,000.

Now, the price of the luxury sedan, Honda City, has also been increased by ₹20,000.

These revised prices apply to select variants, including SV MT, V MT, VX MT, VX CVT, ZX MT, and ZX CVT.

As a result, the ex-showroom prices for the Honda City now range from ₹11.82 lakh to ₹16.63 lakh. Notably, the starting ex-showroom price of ₹11.82 lakh remains unchanged.

Honda City Features, Engine, and Competitors

Honda City is packed with advanced features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto

and Apple CarPlay, leather upholstery, rain-sensing wipers, wireless phone charger, cruise control, sunroof, and ambient lighting.

Under the hood, Honda City is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine that delivers 121 bhp of power and 145 Nm of peak torque.

The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-step CVT gearbox.

The company claims a mileage of 17.8 km/l for the manual variant, 18.4 km/l for the CVT variant, and up to 26.5 km/l for the hybrid model.

In terms of safety, the Honda City includes features like 6 airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, rearview camera, ABS with EBD, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).

In the Indian market, the Honda City competes with other models like the Volkswagen Virtus, Maruti Ciaz, Skoda Slavia, and Hyundai Verna.
