Samsung’s New AI Subscription Service for Galaxy Smartphones

Samsung has confirmed that it will soon launch a paid AI subscription service for its Galaxy smartphones.

This service, possibly named AI Subscription Club, is expected to roll out next month. Users will need to pay a monthly fee to access advanced AI features on their devices.

The news was shared by South Korean publication ETNews, citing Samsung’s VC Han Jong-hee.

Subscription Available for Multiple Samsung Devices

The new subscription service will be available for both Galaxy smartphones and Samsung’s recently launched Ballie AI robot.

Samsung had previously launched the AI Subscription Club for select home appliances in South Korea in December 2024.

Now, the service will be extended to more Samsung devices, including the Galaxy smartphones.

This paid subscription will offer users enhanced AI features, with more advanced capabilities available for a monthly fee.

Basic AI Features Remain Free

While the new service introduces additional AI features, Samsung assures users that the core AI features will remain free.

The basic AI functions will continue to be available without charge until the end of 2025. However, there has been no information about the plan after that period.

Additionally, Ballie AI robot users will also benefit from special AI features through this subscription service, but the robot is currently only available in the US and South Korea.

Samsung is planning to integrate AI into more of its products and aims to build an interconnected ecosystem across its devices.

Global Availability and Upcoming Announcements

It remains unclear whether the AI Subscription Club will be available outside South Korea.

Samsung is expected to make more announcements at its Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, 2025, where new flagship devices, including those in the Galaxy S25 Series, may be launched along with new features.
