Ather has introduced updates to its 450 range of electric scooters, adding new features and improving their range. However, these upgrades have led to an increase in prices.
The Ather 450S now starts at ₹1.30 lakh, while the mid-variant 450X 2.9 is priced at ₹1.47 lakh, and the top variant 450X 3.7 costs ₹1.57 lakh.
Price Increases and Enhanced Features
The Ather 450S has become ₹4,400 more expensive and now comes with a faster 375W charger, compared to the earlier 350W unit.
Additionally, Ather has included several features in its Pro Pack, enhancing the overall experience.
Both variants of the Ather 450X now feature Magic Twist and Traction Control, along with two new color options.
The price of the Ather 450X 2.9 has risen by ₹6,400, but it now includes a 700W charger that significantly reduces charging time.
The 450X 3.7 has seen a price hike of ₹2,000 and offers two levels of Magic Twist—low and high—while the 450X 2.9 only allows this feature to be turned on or off.
New Colors and Market Competition
The Ather 450X is now available in a new Hyper Sand color variant, while the 450S comes in both Steel Blue and Hyper Sand.
These updates have increased the appeal of Ather scooters, which continue to enjoy strong demand in the market.
In terms of competition, the Ather 450X faces stiff rivalry from the TVS iQube.
The ex-showroom price of the TVS iQube starts at ₹1.07 lakh, making it a strong contender in the electric scooter segment.
