Indian Railways is launching the Bharat Gaurav Tourism Train to promote religious tourism. This initiative, led by the Indian Railway Catering
and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), offers a special 12-day package for visiting several important Jyotirlingas across India.
The journey will run from January 5 to January 17, 2025, giving devotees a unique opportunity to explore religious sites in a convenient and affordable manner.
Visiting Seven Jyotirlingas in 12 Days
The train will depart from Jharsuguda station in Odisha on January 5, 2025. It will take pilgrims on a spiritual tour, offering darshan (sightseeing) of seven major Jyotirlingas and other significant religious places.
According to IRCTC Patna Chief Supervisor Sanjeev Kumar, the special train will travel via Bihar Sharif, providing a comfortable way to visit important holy sites.
List of Jyotirlingas and Other Religious Places
During this 12-day journey, pilgrims will visit:
1) Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain
2) Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga in Omkareshwar
3) Shri Nageshwar Jyotirlinga and Dwarkadhish Temple in Dwarka
4) Shri Somnath Jyotirlinga in Somnath
5) Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi
6) Shri Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga, Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga, and Ghrishneshwar Jyotirlinga in Nashik

The cost for booking a sleeper class seat for the 12-day journey is Rs 24,330 per person. Devotees interested in booking their seats can visit the IRCTC website.
