Volkswagen has launched the Taigun and Virtus Highline Plus variants in India, along with a new GT-Line variant.
Both cars feature upgrades compared to the standard Highline variant. Let’s look at the details.
Pricing and Variants
Taigun Highline Plus
The Taigun Highline Plus is available with two transmission options: automatic (AT) and manual (MT). The prices are as follows:
AT: ₹14.27 lakh
MT: ₹15.37 lakh
This is an increase of ₹54,000 for the AT and ₹89,000 for the MT compared to the regular Highline variant.
Virtus Highline Plus
The Virtus Highline Plus also comes with two transmission choices: a two-pedal (automatic) and a three-pedal (manual) system. The prices are:
Automatic: ₹13.88 lakh
Manual: ₹14.98 lakh
This represents an increase of ₹86,000 for the automatic and ₹81,000 for the manual compared to the Highline variant.

Both the Taigun and Virtus Highline Plus variants come with new features, including:

Engine Specifications
Both models are powered by Volkswagen’s 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine, which delivers 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque.
This engine can be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission (MT) or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission (AT).
