This private bank has updated the airport lounge access rules for some of its debit cards. The new rules will take effect on October 1, 2024.
What are the new rules for airport lounge access?
According to the ICICI Bank website, starting October 1, 2024, you can get two complimentary airport lounge accesses by spending Rs 10,000 in the previous calendar quarter. Spending in one quarter will qualify you for access in the following quarter.
For example, spending Rs 10,000 in the July-August-September 2024 quarter will make you eligible for complimentary lounge access in the October-November-December 2024 quarter, and this will apply to subsequent quarters as well.

How to avail complimentary airport lounges in India?
According to ICICI Bank’s website, eligible cardholders must present their valid, unexpired card along with a valid air ticket or boarding pass at the lounge entrance on the same day or the following day to gain access.
An authorization fee of Rs 2 will be charged for each card presented. Note that free access typically applies only to the cardholder, and any accompanying guests may incur charges.
